Is industry participation required?

Industry participation (speakers and audience) is required for funding and is essential for the meetings and goals of the Program.

Does my conference need to be open to the entire UC system?

In general, awards are for anyone in the UC system to gain information.

Are small, by-invitation events eligible?

Requests for more restricted events must be exceptionally well justified.

What is a Travel Award?  Who is eligible?

A Travel Award is a subsidy for travel expenses to an event funded by the IUCRP. Funds cover reimbursement of round-trip economy airfare and housing. University of California students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and staff are eligible.
